The appearance of wrinkles and fine lines is inevitable. Whether it is expression wrinkles or wrinkles due to aging of the skin, these wrinkles can be attenuated. For forehead and upper face wrinkles, Paramedika uses neuromodulators that temporarily reduce the movement of certain muscles. For lower face wrinkles, our doctors and nurses use hyaluronic acid or polylactic acid, depending on your needs.
Hyaluronic acid: It is a molecule that is present in our body. It is completely natural. It makes it possible to fill the voids between the cells of the epidermis. Over time, the reserves of hyaluronic acid decrease therefore the wrinkles are accentuated and the skin loses its tonicity. The results are immediate and last approximately 6 to 9 months.
Polylactic acid injections: Unlike wrinkle fillers, polylactic acid such as Sculptra® is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable product that helps stimulate your skin's natural collagen production to restore its internal structure and increase facial volume lost during the aging process. 2 to 3 treatments are generally required for a duration that may exceed 2 years.
Neuromodulators injections: Dysport® or BOTOX® are medications that are injected to reduce the appearance of the eyebrow furrows, lines of expression on the forehead and crow's feet wrinkles. It temporarily reduces the movement of certain muscles of the upper face that causes expression wrinkles. The treatment takes about 15 to 20 minutes, results show 3 to 7 days after the injection and the duration is approximately 4 months.
